About IFTA Awards
Entering the 5th year of the the IFTA FinTech and Innovation Awards 2022/2023 (Awards), we continue to proudly exhibit the extraordinary achievements made by companies and individuals in the finance and technology industries. This year, the Awards streamlined into 14 award categories, with 10 for corporates and 4 for individuals / teams. In addition to the existing categories, we are excited to introduce new awards that promote the efforts to maintain the cybersecurity, recognize the outstanding women in FinTech and honour corporation that have made continuous achievements and effort in FinTech through different applications.
With the theme “Game Changers: The Rise of Next Gen FinTech”, we create an invaluable opportunity for discover the ground-breaking ideas and technologies that are shaping the future of finance.
With this award, the IFTA celebrates the achievements of individuals and corporations, in the industry that have been constantly pushing the boundaries, taking Hong Kong’s reputation as one of the world’s leading financial centre to the next level.
Different sectors have supported women human rights and movement for decades and we believe strengthening women’s leadership is critical to the sustainability and resiliency of women’s movement and long-term social transformation. The IFTA is setting up the new award category – “Female’s Pioneer Award” to recognize those who have broken through barriers and overcome challenges to achieve success. This will also serve to inspire more women to enter the industry and pursue careers in FinTech, to empower an industry of diversity with wider range of innovative ideas.
The Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia (IFTA) is an NPO established in Hong Kong in September; to uphold the professional standard of Financial Technologists in Asia and create an ecosystem for global fintech talents to be connected. In the witness of Innovation and Technology Bureau, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, and the City of London at the signing ceremony, IFTA entered a collaboration agreement with the Certificate in Finance and Technology (CFT) from the United Kingdom to introduce the first CFT program in Asia. Besides delivering certification, IFTA also organises events including boot camps, seminars, and an annual award to accelerate Fintech education and industry engagement among government, regulators, universities, enterprises, and start-ups.
